North Central Illinois | We are not hurting but things are starting to get a little on the dry side. Yards are starting to turn brown and compacted areas of corn fields are rolling a little in the afternoon. Not much of a chance of rain here today but is sure feels like it could. The humidity and dew point are swampy. From what I can gather from the NWS Forecast Discussion the atmosphere is capped whatever that means. All I know is it doesn't allow thunderstorms to develop even when conditions are otherwise favorable for rain and thunderstorms. | |
