SW Wisconsin | I've done it, ultimately IMO they pay for frustration. Obviously it depends on the staff, unfortunately the county director here is petty, slow, and hard to get a straight answer out of. It takes time, and you have to build to their standards if they're going to pay for it, but for the most part their standards are good and payment rates are reasonable. I first applied in 2015 or 2016, finally got approved to do work last year, and they'll be out to check the last stuff on the contract by early next week. At one point after waiting 2 years I was told that it would probably be another 5 years. I did get paid more than my out of pocket expenses for what I did, but I also did a reasonable amount of the work myself. | |
