East-Central SD | Not even close to the amount of PP in our area as compared to last year but still quite a bit. 20% of our acres are PP this year but last year it was 55% PP. We quit planting corn on May 25th and finished beans on June 5th. We were gonna fill in some low spots in fields that we left earlier but had a good chance of rain after so we decided to wait and got over 2” so it’s a good thing bc those spots are all water again. Makes no sense to mud in acres at these prices. Buddy went to North Dakota and said it’s a mess but I’ll let someone from that area give a better description. | |
