central mo | I would suggest you take it to the phone service provider. They will be way more likely to be able to successfully help you out.
At your own risk (even low voltage like USB connections can fry the board inside the phone), if, and more likely, WHEN your service provider tells you they "cant do anything about it" bring the phone back home and plug it into your PC via USB cable and see if the computer will recognize what it is. If so, you might have a shot at syncing contacts on the phone with MS Outlook or somethig similar.
In the future: Might be a good opportunity to start using Google Sync (or something similar) with Gmail. The service (FREE), via the internet from your phone, syncs your phone contact list to your gmail account online. This way, you've always got a backup of your phone numbers.
