Subject: RE: Tru-count Air Compressor

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I split the difference and mounted mine above the hydraulic stack on the tractor rather than on the planter.

Time will tell if this was wise or not. It seemed to fit there quite nicely. My plan is to cover it with a plastic pail at night since I usually leave the planter out in my dooryard with my GPS left ON to maintain Omni XP Convergence.

It is held on with only one bolt so I plan on removing it once planting is done. The Anderson connector that is provided this year will allow me to disconnect the power easily. I also plan on pulling the fuse at the battery connection.

I also installed a sealed relay to run the compressor. The air pressure switch now triggers the relay rather than running the compressor directly as shipped. I ran this connection inside the tractor where I have a switch and indicator LED. This allows me to "kill the compressor" for periods of inactivity and also watch the LED to determine if the compressor seems to be running too much.
