Central NY Leatherstocking Region | We disc in rye in the fall, then mow the rows and till the hills with a small tiller, then hit the rye with roundup. We spot spray later where needed. It's quite a bit of labor, but we're small. Sevin is also the best we've found. Some years we have to treat for slugs also - they like the tender young plants
