Some coops have a understanding of grower expenses, some coops only care about the profitability of the coop.  When I raised beets years ago the grower got 60% of the gross minus a little expense,  now I hear the coop wants 60% & on their side & whatever it takes to make the coop "work" after saddling the grower with extra costs.     have to raise the neighbors beets for a couple of years,,, hard to get excited about it when you don't think you are going to break even.  Looking at last years payment I have -$600 acre figured in …  I hope I am wrong.  

 They said they would not sell me a common share because I bad mouthed the coop.... I don't sugar coat turds well
