Texas/New Mexico Stateline | I've been on lots of different cattle outfits through the years at shipping and such, and the "old man" hanging around keeping an eye on things is so typical. I spotted that right off before even reading your description. One time I was at a place loading and the 90+ patriarch was in the pens helping sort the cattle and fell down. I felt for sure he was hurt, but got up and dusted himself off and got back to work. Americana Farm tradition at it's finest. I hope I can do the same if I make it to 90.
