Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The main problem is that Trimble autopilots will be expecting the GPS information to be in the TSIP format. This is Trimble Standard Interface Protocol.
Trimble GPS systems can output their information in this format. Trimble GPS receivers can also output information in the NEMA format.
Since the Trimble autopilot will be expecting the TSIP format, you have no choice but to use a GPS receiver that outputs TSIP. The only recievers that do that are those manufactured by Trimble.
Trimble receivers are sometimes sold by other manufacturers such as Ag Leader but the GPS must have been built by the Trimble folks in the first place.
I afraid you're out of luck trying to use a Trimble Autopilot with a Deere GPS.
Now that I reread your post you may be using a Trimble EZ-Guide 500 with the Autopilot. The EZ-Guide 500 is a Trimble product and can work easily with the Trimble Autopilot to an Autotrac ready Deere Tractor.
