Are these dairy goats? why would you want to get two litters a year, or are they meat kids?

The five star breeding method was used for sheep, three litters in two years or something close. But sheep breed easier out of season than dairy goats.

Star system, developed at Cornell University, is for 5 lambings in 3 years AIUI.

Its not easy to hold that system. You're breeding 2 weeks after weaning and I've found that I can't get dry up to happen without recuing the groceries and reduced groceries doesn't put the girls in great condition to optimize lambing percentage.
So - - - going for 3 drops in 2 years is easier to schedule and may even enable a comparable lambing percentage, overall, as compared to the straight STAR system - - - - just IMO.
