I can't help you but I feel your pain. We had one and the claw latch came unhooked more than once. I thought about cutting it off and welding on a vertical coupler.
The trailer had 16.5 tires on it that where hard to find too. Between the rust, the tires and the hitch, I finally just sold it and bought a new one for 5 grand more. I figured it was going to cost half that just to fix it up.
