Subject: RE: Hard Red Spring Wheat In Oklahoma Pictures

Hey Guys,

The reason we decided to try some Hard Red Spring Wheat was because we grew some Milo last year that came off late and we wanted to get back into a Wheat rotation. It was to late to plant it back to Hard Red Winter Wheat so we decided to try the Hard Red Spring Wheat. I knew some other guys that have done this. Some years there is a protein premium and other years there is not. I know the first year our Co-op offered a protein premium it was around .30 cents, but within a couple of days it was down to .15 cents. I talked to a Pioneer Seed salesman that also farms a few weeks ago and he said he has started selling directly to the Flour Mills and he is getting a little over a Dollar over market price.

Thank you,
