Subject: Trimble/AG Leader EZ System Questions

Here is what I understand I need for an Omnistar/EZ500/EZ Steer/ EZ Boom setup.

EZ Guide 500 Omnistar $5000
EZ Steer $3500
EZ Boom $2000
XP Subscription $800/Yr

These are AG Leader prices. I have tried to include a few cables in the prices.

Are there any feature/pricing differences between Ag Leader and Trimble I should know about?

What other subscriptions, unlocks etc?

Are all the features listed on Trimbles web site included in the base price or do you have to unlock things?

If you have a subscription to XP can you use that on more than one reciever or is it only good for one?

I'm looking for liquid control on a sprayer and possibly also doing row shutoffs on planters, NH3 application control, and granular product control. I'm not sure the EZ 500 does granular, but I might be able to work around that with a Raven 440?

Is RTK an easy upgrade from here if the local Co-Op adds a base station?

What would it cost to upgrade a WAAS EZ500 to Omnistar or RTK capability if unhappy with performance?

Is this a wise product selection for our situation or should we look elsewhere for similar $$$. I don't think I can beat the accuracy per dollar and feature. Everyone seems to be in the same ballpark. If I was going to spend $14000 per unit I think I would have to go for JD GS2 units since we are mainly green.

Anything else I should know?

Thanks!
