I was looking for a different laptop earlier this year.  Solid State Drive a must which most higher end laptops have . Memory of 16GB seems a normal on the 4k machines.  I was looking at a 4K video machine which seems to be also with i7 processor. I wanted the 4k to work with 4k videos - if you need that resolution to work with it seems it takes almost a $1500 minimum and could easily be double that or more for better units.
The model that I am currently looking at is  Dell XPS 15  Model XPS7590-7565SLV-PUS from Costco for $1899.99  I have bought a few laptops over the years from Costco when they are on sale.  They have discounted the older models at times.
