If you are just looking to not use the ez steer and only the light bar, if the ez steer is hooked up, just don't engage it, if it is not hooked up, you just need to look at ur screen the 500 recognizes if the ez steer is hooked up. There is no configuration to save. That comes into play when using the 1000.
