Missouri | That's up to you. The update kit is G1K737 and I want to say it cost in the middle $200 range last year. I believe once last year's firmware is installed, Kinze improved update compatibility with the Greenstar file server from there end, such that future updates might be done from the display without troubles.
The thumbdrive was not provided. A common drive will work, and the required files are posted in the firmware section of Kinze.com.
The kit included two cables. One was necessary for performing the update, on the planter. The second was to apply the update to a bare PMM on a test bench. If one wanted to economize this option, you could probably get by with just the one cable. I don't have the part number handy exactly this minute, but I can look into it. | |
