Thumb of Michigan | I've done it, but not in one trip. Worst part of the entire route- at least for me- was getting through Chicago. We went through early on a Sunday morning on Labor Day weekend. Supposed to be low traffic. And, probably was. Still outside my element.
Outside of that, theres some very nice scenery all along the route. What you take in really all depends on how many days you're willing to be on the road. My plans all winter have been to make a Lake Huron/ Lake Superior loop this late summer. That's all up in the air now, but I had 10 days in mind if I can string that many days together before fall. | |
