chortitz, manitoba | Friend of mine worked at the suicide hotline in Manitoba about 5 years ago. People in a crisis and something majorly bad happens to set them over the edge. People just need someone in a neutral position/anonymous to talk to. She was on the phone with a farmer for 2 hrs one night after he split his combine in 2 getting it unstuck.
She had a regular day job and it sounded like a volunteer position whereas the 1- 800 number is call forwarded to her cell phone during her shift. Maybe she got paid, i dont really know for sure. | |
