SW Nebraska | My experience is if your ground is flat you will be fine. I have ran an ezsteer the last two years on my STX with omnistar. The problem I ran into was when topping sharp hills at and angle, the tractor would steer to compensate for the side hill then as you crested the top it would shoot in the direction of steer before it got turned back the other way(4 wheel drives compound this problem). The rows would often be off 30+ inches. I would grab the wheel and manually steer over the hilltop and reengage the ezsteer. The other problem is it doesn't do curves very well so pivot boundaries were always done by hand. If you can live with these scenarios you will be fine. I figured I got what I paid for, having said that I upgraded to the autopilot this year. | |
