I presume others not in Aussy land have a lot of people working from home. My recent experience tells me to check thoroughly any thing that may have been generated by someone working from home. Example 1. 12 month farm machinery and public risk Insurance. I informed the Insurer in Nov 2019 that an item of my farm equipment - [a Semi trailer] had been sold that day, I therefore needed it to be deleted from my insurance. No worries they said. We'll adjust, and place the credit on your account. It will be a deduction when your next premium is due. Premium now invoiced. No Credit showing, but worse - the semi truck is still on the listed items for which they want 12 months insurance to be paid. Example 2. Business that I have dealt with for maybe 40 years - mutual trust. They know I'll clear a monthly account before the due date. Today's Account has two items I did not purchase. The excuse is bookwork done 'working from home'. Both cases just plain lack of attention to detail!! What's your experience? |
