Chebanse, IL.....

The lid is held on by the wing-nuts you can see on top. The bottom plate holds the paper element. The bottom did have 2 larger diameter holes in it that we sealed shut. One was for the carburetor throat, the other was for the crankcase vent hose. Those are both now sealed over. Then we mounted 2x 1/4" airline fittings in the bottom. Both compressors used 1/4" MPT for their dinky little hospital-atmosphere air intakes. So, we simply installed 1/4" airline fittings in the compressors also & then ran a 1/4" hose from the air filter assy to each respective compressor. The filter came off an 18hp garden tractor. So, I'm sure it was designed to clean about 100 times the air that those 2 little compressors would use. Keep in mind the JD bag compressor doesn't run often. There may be days that it does not run at all. A friend gave us the filter assy, but I'd say if you bought one it would be about $10 total.

Again, this is not in compliance with either JD or TC recommendations.

Here's a more close-up photo. The TC compressor is hidden behind the JD compressor. The LED strobe on top of the filter assy is wired to the TC compressor switch. When the compressor is running, the strobe flashes. That alerts the planter driver. If it's running constantly, there is or will be a problem.

Good luck.
