It's the next level up. If you could use an SF1 globe and SF1 autosteer ($6000 cheaper than an SF2 setup) it would be hard for them to get their R&D money back that they spent developing their RTK systems. Not many people would stop at the SF2 level either. The base station is relatively a cheap part of the setup.
