I wouldn't wear anything less than an N95. N100s are great but are pricey.
A bandanna is worthless.
Let's look at it another way, if I had a choice between wearing an N100, N95, or a bandanna someone had blown their nose on, the answer would be respirator yes, N100 yes, N95 reluctantly, bandanna, no way.
The Nomex mask over the N95 when running the dozer extends its life a little by catching the really huge stuff. That is the only cloth I would consider and the only circumstance. | |
