Well, as of today's figures, one in 25,868 Iowans are hospitalized with the corona.  One in 116,889 Iowans have passed away with a CV19 diagnosis.  If there was ANY other affliction with those sort of per-capita numbers, would it have you scared of driving in your car to the other side of the state to see a relative?

I'm not totally disdaining the virus- it's a very serious deal in those nursing home hotspots, for instance.  I'm just saying that "You have a .00000856% chance of dying from the coronavirus" is not something you're going to see in a headline next to the "14,000 dead from coronavirus" headline.
