Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | In the past with an Insight when they first came out this would have been a problem. The system would not have allowed you to choose the configuration and you probably had no clue why.
The reason was and still is that when a configuration is first created it does not need to have the modules connected. So no module serial number is associated with the configuration. The first time the configuration is actually used, the system will check its CAN bus to determine if the modules necessary are present. If the configuration calls for a single Liquid Product Control Module and it finds one then it assigns that module serial number within the configuration. If the configuration should call for two Liquid Product Control Modules and it finds two then it will ask which one is too be used with each product. Those module serial numbers are then become part of the configuration. The assumption is you will continue to use those modules with those configurations.
Each time you chose a configuration that has had some module serial numbers associated with it from the past the system will look for that module by serial number. With an Insight at first at least, the system wouldn't allow you to use the configuration unless it found the serial numbers it was expecting from the past. With the Integra the system will inform you when it can not find a module it needs. This has been improved through the years and now when you exchange the Liquid Module for another, it will ask you if this is your intention. Of course in your situation it is, so you agree and then that module serial number is expected from then on. If you should go back to trying the first one you would get the message about changing again.
