Have you priced both? I have. $30/month vs $75 for the return of premium. 20 years later if you're alive they hand you a check for $18,000. Take the difference you would pay for return of premium and invest it, in yourself or otherwise.
I should add, unless you're happy with 4.75% return. As sharp as you are, I would think you could do better with that money over 20 years. IF I could offer a guaranteed 4.75% return, the line of folks wanting in on that deal would run from coast to coast.
