As others mention, it may be possible to add side shift to your forklift.  My 1st forklift didn’t have sideshift and I said my next one would.  Last year, I updated to a forklift with sideshift and hydraulic fork positioner.   I do like the sideshift hen stacking pro boxes, but find myself using the fork positioner lever a lot more.  I got by for years without either one and got along ok.  A forklift is a lot better than a tractor or skid steer with pallet forks.
