NC KS | I got my unit put together so 1 pump and corresponding system will run nitrogen and the other will run phosphorus. Have separate flowmeters and pwm valves to control pumps. I have a Banjo flanged "y" after the flow meters to join the 2 products. Both pumps are variable rated with 1 of them having rates of 5-12 gpa and the other running around 10-20 gpa.
Here is the problem I am having-one pump pushes fertilizer backwards through the "y" and through the other pump. Flow meters register gallons moving but one of them is going backwards. I am about ready to give up and setup a 2nd set of boom valves and related plumbing to stop this.
Would a venturi setup stop this? I thought about check valves but I don't think one pump will open a check valve that might have 50 psi of back pressure against it. | |
