Iowa | I recently picked up a Bourgault 2155 air cart I'm working towards setting up for fertilizer delivery for a small strip till bar. I picked up the cart without a monitor. It is ground driven, but long term I plan to switch both hoppers to a variable rate drive.
A couple of questions:
- Based on the pictures attached, can anyone tell me what monitor this is wired for? It has an electric clutch for auger drives, a fan case drain pressure sensors, 3 shaft speed sensors and 2 bin empty sensors.
- I've gotten some info on a hydraulic variable rate drive setup that works with what I have today (I have an Ag Leader Insight for sprayer section control and yield monitoring), but does anyone have experience with running electric drives on something like this? Any information to pass along? I've seen these drives from Graham, but I'm not sure if/how these can be interfaced with an Ag Leader setup, or if they would be sufficient/reliable in fertilizer metering.
