Big Springs, Nebraska | Started tractor today and started smelling hot wires. Shut down and found the top key switch wire had melted and broke off. Key switch now is very hard to turn. Planning on getting new switch and getting things wired back up but wanted to ask if this sounds like a case of the switch going bad and that caused the wire to get hot or if the wiring is more likely the source of all the trouble (wires are not in the best of shape and tractor has always sat outside). Just dont want to put a new switch on and immediately melt things down again. Ever had a switch go bad? Thanks. | |
