I was checking the fuses on my Ford 8630 and fuse # 20 a 25 amp fuse was blown. It protects a thermostat. I put a new one in and it melted the plastic head. I guess I must have a dead short. My question is what thermostat does the fuse protect and where is it? The heater blower and air conditioner have their own fuses.

Is it thermostart or thermostat? Thermostart would be an electrical heater in the intake manifold to preheat air directly or cause diesel fuel to ignite in the intake manifold to assist on cold starts.
