N.W. Iowa | Week before last I was coming home from Colorado in a truck and stopped in Lexington Nebraska for the night. Walked over to a Burger King drive through to order food but couldn't get their attention. I asked the guy behind me who was in line to order if I paid for both meals if he would order for me. He did, and when he came around the corner with the food he gave me all my money back and paid for both. Last week I stopped for the night in St. Joe Missouri. Walked over to a sonic to order supper and server came out with the food and said it was free for all truck drivers! I have also seen random signs along interstates in fields thanking truckers for staying on the road. It's a strange new world we're living in,but I sure liked the old one better. | |
