I do respect your attitude. If that is the code you live by you should by all means NOT participate.


For many others consider the following:

1. There are many small businesses applying for this that have not been hurt nearly as bad as the formula is going to give them. Not even close. The formula is not fair. It is a shotgun approach that is substantially arbitrary. It simply goes to whoever qualifies for the amount and files the application. First come, first serve.

2. I remember many posters say it was not right to participate in the Syngenta lawsuit. Seemed like about one-half the posters. Again - if that is how you feel about it then is NOT right to participate and you should not change your mind. However, based on the number corn acres planted over the five year period vs the payout amount of 10.5 cents per bushel, it would appear that most did participate. Most likely cashed their checks, too.
