It will be interesting if there will be any court cases on the Constitutionality of these "stay at home" and "no social groups" mandates by local authorities.
I know here in Texas the only legal way they can actually enforce these mandates is if they have an actual proclaimed health quarantine in order, which they have not done. They've just simply been proclaiming by fiat you no longer have the rights you thought you had.
Yeah yeah I want all the old people to get sick and don't care about the public......blah blah blah******
Think back to what you learned about government in school. The equal but divided branches. Who makes laws? The legislative branch. Can the executive branch (governor) make laws? What about during a time of "crisis"? Is an executive order a law? |
