North Central Illinois | Yeah that is an ugly number but the good news is it should be the high water mark for corn acres. I can’t envision any scenario where those acres get bigger. In fact there is a good chance they drop. The report numbers are old and take into account little of what has been happening in the past month. With the crude oil, ethanol and subsequently the corn price, there will likely be same changes made with regard to planting intentions. Probably not big changes but changes nonetheless. | |
