N.W. Ohio | Definitely not defending the Chinese in this situation at all. Their trying to cover up this situation cost the world many many lives. Totally unconscionable. But... we watched them building those hospitals in 10-12 days in complete emergency mode over there, but those in charge chose to ignore and not prepare for the coming pandemic. Say what you want, but we in the US lost a lot of valuable time that could’ve been used ramping up our PPE supplies and ventilators... etc. It appears we will pay a heavy price for that over the next weeks/months/years. People were sounding the alarm, but our leaders (both damn parties)weren’t listening. History will be the final judge of the leadership in this situation. | |
