not Russian olives here but try remedy or crossbow mixed with some 24d. soak them good when leaves are out, best in Sept when they are taking stuff down to roots but I've had good luck other times of the summer.

We've got the in several shelterbelts but never seen any of the Russian olives come up volunteer. Locust, ash and Chinese elm here.


Maybe try some Garlon. Its what the power company uses, when they use it, around here. Can be quite selectively applied. Chinese elm is a weed imo.
