True enough......but like most, if not all food products, there is good horseradish and bad horseradish.

most of the “wasabi” I’ve consumed i have just assumed it was horseradish. It’s not been the best horseradish I ever had.

i wonder if a Mexican sushi bar/hibachi grill has authentic wasabi?
