I like the steps that are on the Allis 8000 series, the early 8000 ones are a little wiggly, but the later ones are nice and solid. Wish I could swap my early one on an 8050 for a later one. Back in the old days we didn't worry about little things like that...maybe because it didn't hurt as much if we slipped and fell.
