Subject: RE: Raven Wiring Harness Diagram

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
The diagram for the '496 cable is correct.

Concerning wiring the ball valves. Raven has other product cables that would be a better fit for your situation rather than the '496. The '496 is designed to go to solenoid type valves such as TeeJet 144s.

This cable can be modified to work with ball valves that have an internal relay. This is the most common type but not the only type. The modification that needs to be made to the '496 cable at the ball valves will depend on the style that you have.

If you wish to use the '496 with ball valves that have the internal relay you need to do the following: Split the 12V source from Pin 16 to go to the power connection of each ball valve. Split the white wire from Pin 1 and/or Pin 15 (they are both ground) to the ground connection of each ball valve.

The trigger wires for the valves will come from Pins 6, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 for booms 1-7 respectively.

If your ball valves are the polarity reversing type or a four wire style then the situation is different.
