Subject: How many here remember 1972-74???

Central Illinois
In 1972, the Russians had a DISASTROUS crop, but lied to everyone about it. They came over here and talked with every international grain company, telling each of them that we are only talking to you, no one else. ( I knew a girl like that once, told me she would only screw me. That’s not what ten of my buddies had told me)

They also warned them to not breathe a word to anyone else. When it was all over, they walked away with ALL our surplus. Corn went from low $1 levels and beans about $2.20, to the next summer and fall with corn well over $3 and beans over $10. That was before daily reports on large quantities were required. All the experts, grain companies and even farmers were shocked at the great Russian Gran Robbery
