Heart of Ohio | I've read the 2 - 4 million, I'll take the lower, maybe under. I'm thinking April will be the big one, unless we get rolling by mid month. Ohio is basically shutdown for two weeks or more. Umbrella of "deemed essential" jobs is bigger than I would have thought. Many still working from home. Several employers have shut down, but some of those are still paying those employees till end of March, assuming they end up on unemployment after that. Fed bailout may squelch that for awhile. Non essential have little reason to travel other than for groceries. I happen to live between a well traveled 4 lane and heavy 2 lane. Weekend drop in traffic was stunning, weekday is lighter, .... but still quite a few on the road, ratio of trucks to cars is noticeable. Bottom line, still a lot of people working. I probably don't appreciate how many lost jobs in the entertainment and leisure end of things either. |
