It makes me damn proud to go to town, and have any number of my boy's teachers or bus drivers compliment my wife and I for raising our boys the right way. We were at the state wrestling championships, watching my junior wrestling. The bus driver came up to my wife and told her how she appreciated how my boys treated a kid that others were always mean and cruel to. I was at a school board meeting this week, and all the principals and counselors came up and told me how they enjoyed my kids.
We just got back from a open house last night for the high school wrestlers, they just won their first state championship for the school in their history. they went 29-0 as well for the year. I was glad to see these boys knock the socks off the other teams this year.
I tell my boys, people are always watching what you do, and the reports will get back to me, so don't screw up! I think it helped that my boys saw when I was on the school board, that my wife and I was committed to their education. |
