| I have used up to 30% in grower rations, but never more than 10% in finished rations. Made for carcass problems if higher than that in late feeding.
I always thought that consumption was compromised because it’s not very palatable, and can be a way to boost toxin concentration levels in the final product.
My nutritionist developed a 60% gestation ration that actually worked good for a couple years, but when the e plant got blindsided by some out of region corn with high levels of aflatoxin, the cost savings weren’t worth the risk even with toxin binders. | |
