Subject: RE: Cutting flower production?

coast of Maine
Well immediately after 9/11 all discretionary purchases ceased. No fall mus no pumpkins ,no gourds no indian corn etc.No one wanted to be goulish,I think trick or treat is done this season also. But back to now I see lots of job loss in our county already.Lobstermen stopped fishing, their stern men done, they spend a lot here, not now.All restaurants closed here.So will anyone want to buy flowers for mom on mothers day with the off chance of virus on pot etc?I agree on the veg plants but we dont do bedding plants just a few thousand hangers for farmmarket grabs.I order these mnths in advance(plugs) may hold 50% back and chuck to cut grow out costs. You have 4$ in plugs /pot before planting and grow out so youd have 20 $ in it before sale so Im going to chuck some but will hold til sure, unless this all passes Im having thoughts of not peaking here til later june.
