Been considering the same thing with 10 34 0. My thought is that the dribble will kinda just stick to the first piece if soil it comes to and not mix up very well, where a nozzle would be more mixed.

About 17.5 gallons of 10 34 0 is crop removal for 200 bushel corn. My guess is this would be safe, but it really depends on your soil type, soil moisture, what if anything else you blend with it etc.
