Subject: RE: Two crops of corn silage , same ground last year

nw NC
No shatter cane. The sorghum seen in the pictures was regrowth of sorghum-sudan that originated from a few seeds in the seed boxes when the first corn crop was planted in April. This year I will mix some S-S seed with the seed corn with intention of having enough S-S to make a regrowth for a second crop of some late silage. As large as the S-S regrowth got last year it should make more volume than a total new planting of corn would, with no new seed cost.
