Subject: Planting alfalfa

Northwest Ohio
I know this post belongs in machinery talk but when I posted it there I only had one response. Since many of us in this forum plant alfalfa I figured it was worth a shot. Going to plant a couple hundred acres of alfalfa this year and wanting to do it with my Deere 1990 CCS air seeder. Anyone have experience with this... what meter rolls do you use? How hard is it to change meter rolls? Where do you run your fan? Can you sow 10 lbs/ acre? My drill is on 10 inch spacing I would like to sow a pass straight then sow a pass on an angle so I will end up with 20lbs/acres just in two passes. Any info will be helpful.
