Pittsburg, Kansas | I keep running across references to using a ketogenic diet in conjunction with conventional cancer therapy. Some clinics are using it now and there is also research aimed at a ketogenic diet and intermittant fasting regime in conjunction to conventional therapy.
The idea is that some cancers do poorly on ketones and grow like gangbusters on glucose. By stressing the cancer cells through diet they are more susceptable to conventional cancer therapy.
There is also significant research linking insulin resistance and cancer.
What we eat or don't eat concerning many metabolic diseases may be more important than we previously have thought.
