I've never seen one damaged by using ether. We used to use it all the time until I watched a couple of my guys attempt it. After watching their display I got a Cheetah so thats what we use now if at all possible. If the ether has to come out I like to be the one to do it. Two years ago we blew a 35.5 R2 combine tire in a rice field. It took about 20 minutes to get the old one off the rim and the new one on but we spent the next 45 minutes trying to seat the bead with 2 Cheetahs and a portable compressor. I finally gave up on that and broke out the JD ether. It took nearly half a can in a tire that size but we got it done and got back to harvesting.
